Throughout my career as an HR consultant, I have found many CEOs and founders don’t have a resource to go to other than their attorney, who they are reluctant to call due to a little thing called “billable hours.” So, often, they wait until things get bad to make that call, which always translates to bigger problems and more billable hours.
This is avoidable!
I tell my clients I should be their first line of HR defense. If/when we actually do need an attorney, I will dial the phone myself — and I likely know the perfect attorney with the exact knowledge you need.
